Euro Cake T4 Match Ratchaburi 'B' 1-2 Hua Hin City FC

Updated: Apr 21, 2019

It's monsoon season, and it was the weather that was going to resolve this important tie for Hua Hin. Riding high after last week's rare victory, we knew that we'd have a battle on our hands with the future stars of this t1 side.

The stadium was taken over by the sound of Hua Hin's largest travelling support for 2 years. There was an exciting battle ahead.

Hua Hin took control from the off in conditions that would have seen the game cancelled in Europe. The pitch was more akin to water polo than football. Actually, as it turned out, the conditions suited our short passing game very well, and the lads put in one of their best performances of the season.

Totally against the run of play, Ratchaburi went ahead with a brilliant individual goal, which would have graced any t1 arena.

Hua Hin didn't drop their heads, and continued their domination. After about 10 minutes our persistence was rewarded when Worrapat powered in a lovely shot from the edge of the penalty area into the bottom right of the target.

Just before half time, Panupong secured the points with a glancing header into the top left hand corner. However, the drama wasn't over yet.

Early in the 2nd half, Ratchapark seemed to lose his head over something. In true Thai refereeing style, the result, which mystified everybody, saw Kritsada sent off.

Hua Hin continued to dominate with only 10 men, and secured a very valuable back to back victory, and moved into 8th place.

We've now entered the mid-season break, and expect a lot of transfer activity. We'll see you all at Takiab Stadium on 17 June, when we aim to make a hat trick of wins by beating Nonthaburi FC.
