ABOUT  HUA  HIN  CITY  FC

Hua Hin City FC is a professional football team based in Hua Hin, Prachuap Kiri Khan, Thailand.  The team play their home matches at Takiab Stadium in Khao Takiab, which is a couple of kilometers South of the city.  We currently compete in the 4th tier of the regionalised Western Division of the national league, known as Thai League 4 (West).

The club was founded in 2007 as Hua Hin Municipality F.C., and gained entry to the national league in 2012 after being runners up in the 2012 Khǒr Royal Cup.  The match ended 3 – 3, but Hua Hin lost 8 – 7 on penalties to Rayong.

Since entering the league, the club has won one championship title in 2014, when we finished top of Div 2 Central & West.  However, promotion via the Champions League structure was a step too far.

The club has its own training ground located in the Samor Prong area of the city.

The club’s nickname, “The Sailors” (เรือใบสีขาว), goes back to the city’s Royal Connection, and late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s  epic lone journey across the Gulf of Thailand to Hua Hin in a small sailboat.  The sailboat is featured both on the club’s crest, and embossed into the club’s shirts.  The club have predominantly played in blue and white, although we are currently utilising the third colour in the club crest, purple.
